Hi, December!

Jika aku masih diberi panjang umur dan bisa menjalani hari-hari di bulan ini, melaluinya hingga natal dan tahun baru 2023 datang, berarti aku resmi memasuki usia 25 tahun.

There are no words that I think can convey my heart that I will actually turn 25 this year.

I used to imagine, at this age I had graduated from college, worked, and got married. The picture of an ideal life for an ordinary person like me. I grew up in an environment where people have been working since graduating from high school. My neighbors already have children and their own lives. Being tough because of circumstances, being stronger because life forces it to be.

But even though I'm not married at 25 years old, life has also taught me to be stronger, pay more attention to my surroundings, to take care of myself too.

What I'm grateful for now, is that I still have the opportunity to live in Yogyakarta, to pursue a master's degree. A thing that I had dreamed of before, was to become a master's student and got the scholarship. In 2021, my wish came true!

Getting a scholarship for my Masters degree made my responsibilities more than just graduating from college. I have to balance between my obligations as a scholarship awardee, completing both as well and as soon as possible.

There are times when I lose myself because too busy, hands are tied. But now I'm enjoying it and find it a great experience. I have a higher desire, for my future. There is my parents' happiness that I need to fight for. There is someone waiting for me. There is a life that I need to live and first of all, of course I have to complete this stage. Dear my self, let’s get the ball rolling!

As Zig Ziglar once said, you don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
